Five Things Nobody Told You About Fitbit One Battery Not Charging

Fitbit is a wearable technology device that can track several personal, health and fitness parameters from sleep pattern to the steps taken. Users can synchronize the Fitbit band with their computer, and check the information in detail through Fitbit.com, and work accordingly to achieve the goal. Always keep your Fitbit band fully charged, so that you can start tracking your activities anytime.

For charging Fitbit One, you have to take out the band from the rubber clip by folding it carefully before it can be charged. Once the charging cord is connected, the display will get switched on and the indicator will be shown. You can test the level of charging by simply tapping and holding the key. It will take about 1.5 hours to get charged completely.



If the Fitbit one battery not charging or not holding the charge, you can try the below given things,

1.       Try to charge it through a different USB slot: There's a possibility that the USB slot you are trying to access is broken or isn't generating enough energy to charge the fitness band. It is common with old USB ports or with older USB hubs. So try to connect the charger with different ports to see whether it is working or not.

2.       Charge your Fitbit band using a wall charger instead of your PC: The Fitbit band does not offer any wall charger with it, but you can charge it using a USB battery charger. The fitness tracker will get charged quickly than by charging from a computer.

3.       Clean the Fitbit's charger connections: The Fitbit band's charger connections may get smudged and unclear, even after little use, which can trigger issues when you try to charge the device using it because the band cannot create strong contact with the battery charger.

To clear the charging connections, use a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol. You may require a thumbtack to clean solidified remains off. Make it bright using a cotton swab with the rubbing alcohol and then intensely search the connections. If doesn't clean properly, then use the thumbtack, and then apply rubbing alcohol once more. Check the device charger wire also to see if it requires being washed.



4.       Reset the Fitbit band: Sometimes, an issue with the best fitness tracker may induce problems with the charging process. By simply restoring the device can fix this issue. The procedure differs based on the Fitbit band you are using.

To reset Fitbit one, connect the charging cable and plug-in the device. Tap and keep the tracker's key for about 10-12 seconds. Then remove it from the charger and tap the key until the display switches on.

 Replace battery: If still the problem persists, it is recommended to replace the battery. Removing the battery will remove all the saved information, so ensure that you have synchronized your Fitbit one band before placing a new battery.
