Garmin Vivosmart Fitness Tracker Review
Garmin,
an organization mainly known for its GPS-based gadgets, is coming into the new
area with its newest and perhaps best system yet. In 2014, the organization
launched the Vivofit, a tracking device with one year of battery capacity. Now
there is the Garmin Vivosmart, which can give alerts for calls, SMS and e-mails
received on the smartphone. We cannot call it as the best fitness tracker but it offers some of the basic functions
generally seen in other smartwatches. All these functions made the price up
towards the more advanced tracking devices in the market.
Garmin vivosmart fitness tracker
review says that it is
an excellent fitness and health tracking system. It plays a role more than your
average exercise partner with the help of seven days of battery backup on a
single charge. It tracks your activities, steps, how much you have traveled,
and calories you’ve burnt off. It will tell you how many steps you need to take
in a day and motivate you to achieve your goal.
The
activity tracker has an OLED display that shows factors like e-mails, SMS,
social media notifications and calls alerts. But, you can’t read or dismiss the
alert from the tracker. Rather, you have to cancel them from the phone. To turn
on the VivoSmart’s screen, you just need to double-tap on the screen.
Using
the VivoSmart’s app, you can generate the information and decide whether you
want to maintain your weight or reduce. The app then instantly indicates how
many actions you should take in a day to achieve your objective and it allows
you to find out the factors like amount of calories burnt off during the
exercise by coupling with the MyFitnessPal app. The application helps you to
check your sleeping routines, get recommended exercises, and along with
heartbeat monitoring feature.
The
only real problem with the app is that it’s appropriate only with Android
operating system gadgets running 4.3 and greater OS and iPhones which range
from the 4s to the 6 Plus. If you don’t have one of those devices, you can
instead synchronize the VivoSmart with your Mac or PC.
Its
design is disappointingly dull, as it seems to be similar to the other fitness
bands available now: a versatile band with two little prongs. To make sure it
won't fall down, Vivosmart has an additional security slider called Vivokeeper.
The product is offered in two sizes: large and small with blue, black, berry,
purple and slate colors.
Garmin vivosmart fitness tracker is water-resistant in up to 50 meters of pressure, a ranking is known as
"5 ATM", which means it is appropriate not just for bathing, but also
for diving. The only area where you might have to be cautious is while playing
any kind of water games.
